An anachronistic timepiece, rooted between simplicity and complexity
Product features

The Klepsydra is specifically made of mouth-blown fine crystal glass, hand-carved optical glass, and anodized stainless-steel.

The 12 suspended cups on the glass wheel are alternatively filled with 20gr nanoballs and then emptied every 10 seconds.

The handle allows to rotate the crystal dome until the tank lies horizontally. This central piece features Marc Newson’s signature.

How does the Klepsydra work?

Minutes hand time setting
The minutes hand can be set backwards to its initial position [« 30 » etched figure] by rotating it anti-clockwise
Available in different colours

Its apparent simplicity belies the technical complexity and the challenges involved in its creation.

Discover the Hourglass
Despite the apparent simplicity, the Hourglass has millions of moving parts. When the Hourglass is inverted, the nanoballs fall and bounce in an erratic way, resulting in a 10, 30 or 60 minutes timer.
